Overview
M.Y. SHEENA Liveaboard is comfortably furnished and fully equipped for diving tours. The crew are experienced and highly motivated – they are ready to show you the best diving of the Maldives.
Location
Based on Medufushi Island which is 45 mins air taxi from Male International airport. The boat covers diving in the south Maldives area.
Rooms
The boat has 7 cabins for hire, plus staff accommodation.
Lower deck cabins have single beds.
Two upper deck cabins have double beds.
All have ensuire bathrooms with basin, toilet and fresh water shower.
Facilities
Full board is included, meals can be served outside at the stern or in the spacious salon. A BBQ ashore is held once a week. There is a well stocked bar for guests. Tea, coffee and water are available, free of charge, all day.
Diving
Diving is on untouched & unexplored reefs and channels in the Meemu, Laamu and Thaa Atolls in the Southern Maldives. On request, alternate routes travelling to Felidhoo Atoll (hammerhead sharks) and South Ari Atoll (whalesharks) are also available. The tours will include diving well known, top dive sites in the respective atolls as well as feature an element of “expedition”, diving to charter unknown diving regions. Sightings of mantas and whalesharks are almost guaranteed in the Meemu Atoll.
A diving dhoni accompanies the boat with capacity for 18 divers. All diving equipment is stored on the dhoni. Equipment can be rented on joining in Medhufushi.Two or three dives are scheduled per day and one or two night dives per week.
Most dives are drift dives, you will be collected at the end by the dhoni.
Divers must have 60 logged dives and an advanced diver license is preferred.
Maximum depth is 30m according to official regulations.
